Here's our new head chef, Ian Farnsworth, who is settling in nicely after taking over our kitchen just over a week ago.
We feel very lucky to have Ian with us - he has only recently returned to the UK after 15 years working in Australia.
His very impressive CV includes working at some iconic places down under, such as the Sydney convention and exhibition centre in the city’s famous harbour, where he was chef de partie.
He was also executive chef at the Kamberra Winery, and most recently, the Australian National University in Canberra.
The 43-year-old is married to an Australian lady, and the couple have a nine-year-old son, who is football-mad, so we're sure he's going to love living in the UK!
“I only ever expected to be in Australia for a year, but I fell in love with the place after a few months there and ended up staying quite a bit longer!” he said.
“Cooking over there was a great experience – I worked in some amazing places and cooked some extraordinary food, but I am really looking forward to being back in the UK, sourcing and using the fabulous local ingredients we have here, and showing my family as much of the country as possible."
We wish Ian all the best in his new role, and are confident our guests are going to love the new influence he is bringing to our food.
